24 Hour Creative Marathon – Completion

I ended up getting both pieces completed…though the second is slightly sloppy, cause I couldn’t find a good solution to accurately get the text onto the canvas. Hung around and helped get things set up for the show that began at 8pm. We straightened things up, rearranged the couches, posted signs, and hung the artwork.

Around 8:30-9ish, the first of four musical talents began playing. But one the highlights of the evening to me was when one of my two pieces was purchased by someone.  I called it “Follow the North Star” and despite the coloring of this photo (I should have corrected the color, but haven’t), the background is a subtle gradient of dark blue at the bottom to black.

The other highlight was seeing people I’ve met before, making new friends and finally meeting another in-person.

Here are a few of the photos I took:
#flickr_badge_source_txt {padding:0; font: 11px Arial, Helvetica, Sans serif; color:#666666;}
#flickr_badge_icon {display:block !important; margin:0 !important; border: 1px solid rgb(0, 0, 0) !important;}
#flickr_icon_td {padding:0 5px 0 0 !important;}
.flickr_badge_image {text-align:center !important;}

    I was so happy to finally meet you!

    I missed a lot of the artwork, but I really loved your North Star piece. I think it fit the theme perfectly, especially with so many others being abstract and deviating. I’m not surprised it sold. 🙂
